Subject: Second application phase for BCDSS MA programs starts now

Dear BCDSS members and friends,

the Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies (BCDSS) at the University of Bonn in Germany offers a two-year, consecutive and research-oriented Master’s program in “Dependency and Slavery Studies” since the winter term 2020/21, and a one-year and research-oriented Master's program in "Slavery Studies" since the winter term 2021/22.

The program “Dependency and Slavery Studies” aims to provide students with a differentiated view of a range of phenomena and concepts of dependency and slavery across different cultural and historical contexts.
The program “Slavery Studies” aims to offer students a broad perspective on interdisciplinary research on slavery and slavery-like phenomena through time and space, and goes beyond these by introducing the broader perspective of strong asymmetrical dependencies.

The second application period for both programs starts today, 28 August and ends on September 4, 2023, and we would therefore like to ask you to send out the digital flyers attached via your institute mailing lists to third-year and/or fourth-year undergraduates and, if applicable, other suitable students.
